People’s opinions have shifted from seeing the hemp plant as a drug with no use other than a temporary high, to a plant that could possibly be the definition of versatile. II. Motivation for listening: Did you know that currently 25 states and D.C have legalized marijuana for medicinal use? Yes a 50%. I believe that society to some extent has played a key role in accepting marijuana in a medicinal way. As the generation X diminishes and the millennial’s increase we slowly have come to accept marijuana in society especially for its medicinal uses. III.
